Meet Dr. Carpenter
Dr. Robert D. Carpenter is the Associate Professor of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Midwestern University. Dr. Carpenter graduated with honors from Siena College in Loudonville, New York and Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Carpenter’s postdoctoral training included an internship at Bronx Municipal Hospital and residencies at both Maimonides Medical Center and New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident in the Facial Architect Center. Dr. Carpenter began his practice in the New York Capital District in 1990. In 1996, Dr. Carpenter began his private practice in Saratoga Springs. In 2000, Dr. Carpenter formed Saratoga County Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates, which is a full scope Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical Practice with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom teeth removal to facial pain, trauma and corrective facial & jaw surgery.
Dr. Carpenter is a Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon and Board Certified Dental Anesthesiologist whose academic appointments include Cornell University School of Medicine and Albany Medical College. He has served the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) as Chairperson for the SIG for dental implants. He is currently the president of the American Society of Dental Anesthesia, Arizona Chapter. He is a National & International lecturer in addition to being an Instructor on dental implants and bone grafting.
